We are currently working on 2 new CDs. The recording is now complete on the first CD and we are just finishing the mixing. We have been working on this since June of 2008.
Recording engineer and producer Scott Taylor has done an excellent job of recording and helping to bring out the best in us. This is going to be a very different Denots album. With songs like "The Fish Song", "Defworms" and "Vision", its more bluesey and almost grungish. Most of these songs have been around for a long time. For years we kind of just avoided them because they were a little more mellow than the DENOTS norm. Its 9 tracks and about 60 minutes of music. We are putting together the artwork for the album and all that jazz. Hope to start slinging them in Nov.
The other album is also coming soon and will be the heaviest denots ever!. With 7 of the 9 songs written and complete, it wont be long before we hit the studio again. We plan to tour this summer and get recording the heavy album in the fall. Haven't been doing a lot of shows because of the recording and writing process, but that will soon change.
